Welcome to the White House
The White House has long serve as the official residence of over forty presidents. Its official address is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The very first designs for the house were designed by architect, James Hoban in 1792. Since then many additions, including the West Wing, East Wing, and balcony have been added to the famous structure to accommodate its residences and officials. A little known fact about the famous structure is that during the War of 1812, British soldiers burned the building and tore through the rest of D.C. Despite the destruction however, the house was rebuild and even today there are still signs of burnt wood and concrete underneath the paint of the famous structure. The White House stands as a symbol of authority and national pride amongst many people. To tour through its famous halls and rooms is an honor itself. If you can not get a tour however, it is still an amazing sight from outside. It is highly recommended that, whenever in D.C., you should visit this magnificent piece of American pride and history.

Inside The White House
The Oval OfficeThe oval office is the most known room in the White house. It is the room where the presiding president works. This however does not mean that The President spends all day in this signal room Other than the White House itself, the Oval Office is also another symbol of the presidency. The room is not exceptionally large, it is the size of many standard rooms.

The West WingThe West Wing is one of the most notable areas of the White House. The West Wing houses the offices of many of the President's advisors as well as the oval office itself. This Wing is also home to the White House Press Conference Room. Many of the White Houses day to day activates take place in this part of the White House. Every were from coordinating the President's agenda to official meetings take place in this area. In many respects the West Wing could be referred to as the nerve center of the White House.

The East WingThe East Wing of the White House for the most part is less complicated than the West Wing. This Wing consists of many smaller functions such as the White House Family Theater and the East Wing Garden Room. The Garden Room consist of many different pieces of White House history. Just out side of the East Wing is The Jacqueline Kennedy Garden. This garden was named after John F. Kennedy's wife who designed the garden which consists of a lawn, many different flowers, and many different herbs.

The Diplomatic RoomThe White House Diplomatic room is one of the main meeting rooms in the White House. It is often viewed as the First Families Room. The room is famously know as the room in which Franklin Delano Roosevelt delivered his historic fireside chats from. Jacqueline Kennedy also redesigned the room with landscape themed wallpaper.
